About ItzMyDiet

Good food.
Real life.
Your way forward.

ItzMyDiet is a place to explore food, organize your kitchen, and bring a little more intention to everyday meals. Our starting point is simple: useful information should be understandable and practical.

The person behind the project

A physician’s experience.
A teacher’s curiosity.

Dr. Michael Irwin Baruch, FACS, is a retired general and plastic surgeon who retired from surgical practice in January 2020. His career included clinical care, surgical leadership, and teaching residents.

He earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and trained in general and plastic surgery. Alongside medicine, his interests include teaching, computers, technology, and finding clear ways to explain complex subjects.

Through ItzMyDiet, he brings that interest in education to practical topics around food and daily routines. The website is an educational publishing project, not a medical practice or an individualized nutrition service.

Education, with context

General food information cannot account for every medical condition, allergy, medication, or dietary restriction. Use this site as a resource for ideas and questions, and follow the personalized advice of your clinician or registered dietitian.

Commercial content

ItzMyDiet is being developed to include resources that may support the website through affiliate commissions, digital products, or sponsorships. Any such content should be clearly identified so readers can recognize a commercial relationship.

The current starter resources do not include paid product placements or affiliate shopping links. A product’s presence on the site should never be interpreted as a guarantee of a health result.
