Dr. Michael Baruch, a native New Yorker, began his educational journey at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a combined undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine/Electrical Engineering. His quest for knowledge did not stop there; he further pursued a degree in Medicine at the prestigious Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Baruch became a board-certified surgeon in both General and Plastic Surgery. His career spanned 45 impressive years in New Jersey, where he earned a reputation as a highly skilled and respected Plastic Surgeon. Each patient received the benefit of his extensive understanding of human anatomy, medical and surgical intervention, and the impact of lifestyle on overall health, nutrition, mind and body. At age 68, Dr. Baruch was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis, pushing him into early retirement. Not one to be easily daunted, he (a liver transplant recipient himself) dedicated his retirement to creating a repository for other pre and post-liver transplant recipients. The repository, based on Dr. Baruch's profound experiences and immense knowledge, provides much-needed guidance, support and information to individuals navigating similar situations. It is a valuable resource that includes aspects like diet, lifestyle, stress management, and others, all vital to improving life quality and longevity after a liver transplant. Currently, Dr. Baruch resides in New Jersey, carrying on his mission of service to the community.
